SQL on Hadoop is the topic du jour among Hadoop and MPP practitioners. As a leading cloud-based, managed service for Big Data, Treasure Data has been at the frontier of this interesting development for the past three years. In this talk, Masahiro Nakagawa, Senior Software Engineer, will survey the current state of SQL on Hadoop with a focus on PrestoDB, the open source SQL engine developed at Facebook to which Treasure Data actively contribute.
